Volcanodle
Puzzle #113 was Raususan [Mendeleev].
Raususan, also known as Mendeleev, is a low compound stratovolcano located in the southern part of Kunashir Island. The dominantly andesitic-dacitic volcano is cut by two nested calderas, the larger 6-7 km in diameter and the smaller 3-3.5 km. A central cone that formed inside the younger caldera was breached to the west by a large debris avalanche about 4200 years ago.

What the record says
Puzzle 113 ran on 30 Oct 2026 and the answer was Raususan [Mendeleev], played with 6 guesses against 8 columns. On the record: Country - Japan - administered by Russia; Region - Northwestern Pacific Volcanic Regions; Type - stratovolcano; Tectonic setting - subduction; Elevation - 500-1500; Last eruption - older-Holocene; Rock type - andesite; Historically observed - observed.
Beyond the grid the record adds Largest recorded eruption - VEI 2; Holocene eruptions recorded - 3 eruptions.
Volcanodle builds its record from Global Volcanism Program, Smithsonian Institution (Venzke, E. (ed.), Volcanoes of the World, volcano.si.edu). The description above comes from the same place the game credits on every reveal: A verbatim excerpt of the volcano's GVP Geological Summary. The puzzle itself is still playable in the archive, and every answer that has been and gone is listed on the past-answers page.
